Tonight is probably Andy’s biggest game this season in a red shirt. After an undeniably disappointing few months, tonight represents his biggest shot at proving the doubters and sensationalist media fucks wrong. With Suarez out, alot rests on his shoulders, as, right now, he is the teams sole out-and-out centre forward. I still have a massive amount of belief in Andy: Despite the general media creating a completely singular and unfair depiction of his performances, I think, having seen every game he’s played this season, he has been occasionally poor, occassionally good and even occassionally very good, verging on excellent. He has been far from the broad brush strokes with which media has painted him with: His performances have consistently been a mixed bag where he sporadically shows moments of quality interspersed with moments of frustrating lethargy. At 22, I still hold the same amount of faith in his ability that I did when he first signed. The raw materials are there, he just needs a bit of luck, some decent deliveries (speaking of which, it’s Downing’s time to start delivering aswell…) and a decent run of form.
C’mon big man. 2-0 to Liverpool, one from Bellamy, the other a power header from Andy.
